Why We Do What We Do.
We first opened our doors in 1997 on Colorado Street in Glendale, California. To explain why we went into the business of bread making, we will use some of the writings from M.F.K Fisher from his book, The Art of Eating, as he seems to understand us so well…
“The smell of good bread baking, like the sound of light flowing water, is indescribable in its evocation of innocence and delight. Breadmaking is one of those almost hypnotic businesses, like a dance from some ancient ceremony. It leaves you filled with one of world’s sweetest smells…there is no chiropractic treatment, no Yoga exercise, no hour of meditation in a music-throbbing chapel that will leave you emptier of bad thoughts than this homely ceremony of making bread”.

Our vision is to create a quick-serve bakery where patrons can stop by anytime to grab a delicious hot bread right out of the oven as well as delivering our breads to restaurants where our bread could be used in variety of ways.

Our mission is to offer simple and delicious breads that are easily accessible via our location or larger orders by delivery. We take pride in using only the highest quality ingredients in our breads.
